Love this boyfriend themed shoot with model Gee Burridge with Major Model Management, New York. Was originally going to shoot outside but the weather was not cooperating. Decided to create a simple set using three muslin backdrops; one hanging to make a wall, a second for the floor, and a third to throw over props for the model to sit/lean on. Very happy how the shoot turned out. Gee is a great model and worked the clothing. It was tough to select final images. Hair stylist Cassie Carey and makeup artist Dmitry Potapov did a great job creating beauty looks that worked with the clothing and setup. I love the loose hair! When we had a break in the weather we shot a look outside as well. Below are some final selects from the shoot.

NYC Fashion Photoshoot featured on Japanese Blog
I have been collaborating with makeup artist Hiro Yonemoto for many years. Hiro is from Tokyo but lives in New York. He does go back to Japan for work and to visit family.
On my last shoot with him for custom couture client Lee Anderson he brought along a team from a Japanese beauty blog to interview him and film behind the scenes footage of the shoot.
Hiro just sent me a link to the video. It is well produced, fun to see, but I have no idea what they are saying!
The model Kate Petrova from Q Management New York is stunning and the fashion was gorgeous. Below is the video for a look at the shoot!
Beauty Fashion Editorial Featuring Model Anna Van Patten
I just had a beauty editorial and cover published in Lucire Magazine. The shoot was hair and skin inspired featuring our gorgeous model Anna Van Patten of Women 360 Management, NYC. We photographed the editorial in one day at Blonde + Co Studio, New York. Hair stylist Cassie Carey and makeup artist Dmitri Potapov created beautiful looks. Special thanks to Dylan Reese for postproduction!
Behind the Scenes Video – Fashion Lifestyle Photoshoot
My friend Kenny Chan of Full Motion NYC shared a behind the scenes video he shot from my lifestyle fashion photo shoot for shoe client J/Slides Footwear. We had a great shoot, meeting in Central Park 6:30 am on a beautiful June weekday morning. I was surprised how busy the park was at that time; runners, dogs, cyclists, trucks making deliveries. In retrospect I am not sure why I thought Central Park would be quiet.
Our models were Kianna Stupakoff and Lily Jean, both from Next Models, New York. Although they never met each other, they became best friends, at least for that morning.

Fashion Photography on Location
May and June have been really busy months for me. I have been shooting a lot of catalogs, advertising campaigns, promotional, and social media campaigns. I even photographed my first wedding for a friend of the family who would not take no for an answer!
Now that we have some beautiful weather in New York I have been shooting jobs outside. The past 2 weeks I had two shoots that took advantage of this. The jobs were very different, but both great.
Jewelry and handbag designer Cristina Sabatini creates gorgeous high end pieces. She secured a phenomenal house situated on the water on the North Shore of Long Island. This weekend house was incredible and we had run of the entire property… including the Rolls Royce convertible! The landscaping was gorgeous, outdoor and indoor pools, magnificent decks, and super chill family that hosted us. The beautiful models were Genesis Suero (Miss New York) and Catalina Morales (Miss Puerto Rico). Hair and makeup by my talented dear friend Veronika Robova. The fashion stylist was Dash Armstrong. The shoot was extremely elegant and upscale. I love seeing the client beginning to post images on Instagram. Can’t wait to see the campaign roll out!
Here is a photo of the two models shot by the outdoor pool overlooking the beach and bay.
Yesterday I worked for footwear designer J/Slides. J/Slides is a fun, comfortable, youthful brand creating quality casual sneakers and shoes. The client cast two great models from Next Model Management NYC; Lily Jean and Kianna. We met in Central Park at 6:30 am with camera, shoes and clothes and ran around the park taking fun lifestyle images. I was amazed how busy the park was at that hour. People running, biking, walking dogs, supply trucks making deliveries. The models were great. We made super fun images and video. I am looking forward to seeing the client’s select. Here is a behind the scenes photo of me with the models shot by my assistant at the end of the shoot.
Activewear Photography, NYC
Last week I had the pleasure of shooting model Sean Biloski, Wilhelmina New York for an activewear campaign that will be featured in Costco internationally.
During the shoot I had fashion stylist Nyree square up against Sean, taking a promotional shot for their upcoming UFC, no holds barred, world championship bout!
I have my money on Nyree. She may give up a considerable advantage on height and weight, but she is quite fast, has a great eye, and very skilled with pins and binder clips!
We had a lot of fun shooting lifestyle images in my studio!
Poster Size! Go Big Or Go Home! Postcards Too.
Yesterday I stopped by the retail store of my long time client Lee Anderson Couture. Lee creates exquisite custom couture fashion for her discriminating clientele. Unfortunately Lee was not in the store, but got to see some of the images we shot last year in print.
I picked up a couple of postcards that are sent out as promotion, and the in store poster she prints each season.
The model is the stunning Jessica LeBleis from Next Model Management, New York. Jessica totally gets the clothing and concept. Everything looks amazing on her. Makeup artist and hair stylist Hiro Yonemoto with Art Department had the difficult job of making the beautiful Jessica look beautiful!
Special thanks to Wikkie for her beautiful craftsmanship and styling on set!

Photography for NYC Knitwear Designer Label and Thread
I love working for New York knitwear designer Label and Thread! They create beautiful sweaters, scarves and hats, are really great with styling the looks, book great models, and are really fun to work with. We always use Andrea Wilson of Next Artists for hair and makeup. Andrea is extremely talented and a blast to work with. Her energy keeps the set jumping and her attention to detail makes sure each look is flawless. This season the client booked Dutch model Romy de Grijff from Wilhelmina NY. Romy is a stunning woman and a pleasure to work with. She made my job extremely easy.
The day started off similar to most. I arrived at the studio early to start setting up. I like to be ready to shoot when the client arrives. This way I am free to spend time helping the client with what they need to prepare for a day of shooting. During the week another photographer had a job photographing food. My studio manager surprised us with a crate of assorted bags of tortilla chips. There were about 30 bags! Jokingly I asked him what about the guacamole? He came in with a bag of ripe avocados, onion, tomato and limes. I spent the next 10 minutes making some killer guacamole for the crew and studio staff. That was a first!
Unfortunately there was no tequila left over. Never too early for shots!
We had a really productive day of shooting. Below are some of the looks from the F/W18 collection. I am looking forward to seeing the images live on their website! If you would like to see some of our work from the current season take a look at www.labelandthread.com.
Romy and Andrea love my guacamole!

When Photographer becomes Fashion Model, and Vice Versa!
For years I have worked regularly with sports and fitness, fashion, and lifestyle model Jam Murphy of Wilhelmina Models, New York. We have become friends as well. Jam is an incredible model with a beautiful, open spirit. Besides modeling Jam produces music and owns a very cool lipstick brand Ice + Jam. Ice and Jam formulates amazing products using replenishing ingredients with bold, fun colors to beautify and care for your lips. The company ethos emphasizes sustainability, health and personal empowerment. With colors such as “Thank You Come Again”, “Lesbehonest” and “Ouch, Ouch, You’re On My Hair!”…
Jam asked me to photograph her modeling her in their new “Empower Your Lips” tee. I was thrilled to say of course. She wanted to have some of her friends model as well, but due to scheduling only she was available. After Jam finished being photographed, in she tried to poach some male models from another shoot, but no luck. She asked the studio manager if he would model, but Kenny is shy. Jokingly I offered to model for her. Jam jumped right on that and the next thing I knew I was on set being styled and photographed by Jam.
Below are screenshots from the Ice + Jam website. The cotton tee is extremely soft, well priced, and a portion of proceeds are donated to Tostan.org
I may be no Jam, but I think I hold my own in this photo. If you need a short, older male model, feel free to reach out!
Jeans and Jackets – More Denim
Just completed another denim and jacket shoot for client Driftwood. The clients booked two great models, Pheobe Witney from Wilhelmina New York and Johanna Nault from APM Models. Makeup artist and hair stylist Veronika Robova gave us a natural look to compliment the collection. We shot at my NYC studio utilizing the cyclorama wall as well as the white brick walls. Images will be used for website, catalog, advertising and promotional usage. The collection is fun, sexy and adorable. I love the fit and fun use of embroidery. The outerwear is very cool as well. The collection sells at Free People, Sundance Catalog, Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom’s, and many other retailers, including their website.
Here are some images from the shoot. I look forward to seeing them published on the website!
