I have been waiting to share this fashion editorial entitled Ebb and Flow that I shot early this Fall. It was just published in Parsian magazine Kodd. If features model Alisar with agency The Management New York(I am happy to see that the agency is using 4 of the photos on her portfolio page). Fashion editor/stylist Erin Bookman dressed Alisar in layered looks from designers Dries van Noten, Off-White, Maison Margiela, Comme Des Garcons, Issey Miyake paired with vintage pieces from her own collection.
We decided to shoot the story in black and white. I incorporated motion and shot through painted glass in order to give a dreamlike feel to the story.
Hair stylist Jason Linkow, ABTP and makeup artist Maria Oviedo completed the team.

Fashion stylist Holli Kingsbury, represented by Timothy Priano, came to me with the concept of a spring color story with a model on a trampoline on the rooftop of my studio. I was really excited about the idea, but due to schedules we had to shoot the upcoming Friday. We booked my studio and started planning.
Holli and I both agreed we needed a model with a dance background. We couldn’t have just any girl bouncing on a trampoline. She needed to have experience posing and nailing expression midair. Also she needed endurance. I immediately thought of Sophie Olszak. Last July we shot a fur catalog together. She is gorgeous, and a pleasure to work with. I remembered that she danced for the Brooklynettes. The Brooklyn Nets were in the playoffs so I knew she would be in town. I messaged her on Instagram. She was in between agencies and was excited for the shoot.
The morning of the shoot the sky was gray and there was a significant chance of rain. I decided to set up the studio as a backup for the likelihood of a torrential downpour…which occurred.
I used an Elinchrom Fresnel Spot 30 to create a hard light and a strong shadow. The paper was rigged across the ceiling and down the wall so I could shoot low and not have the studio ceiling showing. It was a fun setup!
As soon as Sophie was finished with makeup and hair, dressed in her first look and started jumping on the trampoline I knew we had magic. Immediately Holli whispered in my ear we booked the perfect model.
The shoot went without a hitch. The hardest part of the shoot is choosing images!
I placed the story titled “Airborne” in New York based Spirit and Flesh Magazine. Please click on the magazine or the following links to see all images from the story! Website or my Instagram Account!
When Emma arrived at the studio (see previous blog post) she was accompanied by a new friend Hannah Jo, also a fresh face with Elite Model Management New York. While shooting Emma, I pulled makeup artist Maria Oviedo aside and asked her if she wanted to shoot a look with Hannah as well. We had Hannah contact her agent who agreed. Glad we asked… here are some of the results!
I love this shoot with natural beauty Madison DeSilva from Ford NYC. Madison is a dream to work with, perfect skin, gorgeous features and sweet personality. My friend and frequent collaborator, makeup artist and hair stylist Maria Ailen Oviedo enhanced Madison’s beauty keeping the makeup light and subtle bringing out highlights. We played with her lip color and beautiful, thick, long hair. These images were created in my New York photo studio. I am super excited to share the images we created. Check out my website and Instagram to see more stunning photos!
I am really pleased to share my latest fashion editorial I produced that was published in Genlux Magazine.
I collaborated with my friend and art director Alex Palomo. We created a moodboard incorporating floral arrangements into a fashion photo shoot. After solidifying the creative deck we booked fashion stylist Holli Kingsbury with agency ABTP. Holli also wanted to handle the floral styling. Once we worked out the fashion direction we rounded out the team with long time collaborators hair stylist Cassie Carey and makeup artist JP Ramirez.
Once we had a shoot date Chad Thompson of Communa-K reached out to model agencies and submitted a package of talent for us to select from. We had a stunning group of models to chose from but were blown away by Gianni Jones, One Model Management New York, and Trinity Trice, The Industry Model Management NYC. The pairing of these girls took it to another level!
Shoot day was fantastic! I was blown away how the team pulled together and created magic! The images are stunning. I have received so many wonderful compliments. Please take a look at some of the magic we created and visit my website and Instagram account to see more of the work!
We used makeup artist Hiro Yonemoto, Art Department NYC who also was the hair stylist. We then created magic in studio. The shoot went so smoothly. No hiccups, no drama… just magic. Selecting the final images was our biggest problem… there were so many amazing photographs to choose from.
Below are some of the final selects. Please visit my website to see more!
Earlier this fall I had the pleasure of photographing a campaign for jewelry designer Monte Neri. Classic gold and gemstones. It is a really elegant collection. The concept was fairly simple, get some gorgeous models, drape them in Monte Neri, and create the magic!
Models we cast are Anzhela from W/360 and Nianga from Official Model Management. We shot in my New York City studio against a simple beige backdrop. The richness complimented the glowing skin created by collaborator Veronika Robova, hair stylist and makeup artist.
The designs and images are gorgeous! Take a look below, I think you will agree!
I am pleased to share some images from a recent photo shoot for jewelry atelier Zhell. Designer Shell Weinz is a long time collaborator. She is a brilliant creative with a strong sense of style and distinct point of view. Her pieces are unique with a delicate industrial vibe.
Shell and I cast model Sasha Mart with Official Model Management NY. We fell in love with her red hair, freckled, porcelain complexion, and wonderful energy, Another long time, super talented collaborator Veronika Robova provided hair and makeup having the very difficult assignment to make the beautiful Sasha more beautiful.
We shot in studio with a solid white backdrop lit to look grey, The lighting is clean and dramatic to bring out the beauty of the collection.
I am attaching a few images we created that were retouched by the talented Albina Annen.
Fashion stylist Jonatan Mejia met in February and started planning to produce and shoot a fashion editorial together. We had a date scheduled for mid March, and then the Covid lockdown made it impossible. When NYC started opening back up we revived our plan.
The editorial, shot in NYC was just published in Awake Revue. Everyone is really pleased with the results. The images are stunning! Viki got the concept and took over!
Fashion credits include Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Channel, Helmut Lang, Desigual, and other luxury brands.
Last week I got together in my studio with NAHA winning hair stylist Cassie Carey and makeup artist Dmitry Potapov to shoot a beauty test with model Gabriella Wilkens from Women 360 Management. Gabriella has soft, delicate features and long, beautiful, curly, natural hair. We focused on clean makeup and shaping the model’s hair. After we were finished in the studio we went out to the roof for some additional images. We are super pleased with the results. Gabriella’s agency thinks the images are stunning!
