Fashion photography in NYC is opening up!

I am pleased to report that my New York fashion clients are starting to shoot again.  My first shoot since lockdown was June 30 at my fur client’s warehouse.  It felt a bit weird returning to set but we all wore masks (except the model of course), did our best to social distance, the space was large and airy with good ventilation and fans to circulate the air.

So far all my work has been at client sites and location.  I have not worked in my studio yet but look forward to returning!

New Beauty Fashion Photography Editorial With Gee Burridge, Major NYC

I am pleased to share a new beauty editorial for Lucire Magazine featuring fashion model Gee Burridge, Major Models, New York.  Gee is a dream to work with. She is gorgeous and knows how to move. NAHA award winning hair stylist Cassie Carey created full, voluminous hair styles using Gee’s thick, natural hair.  Makeup artist Dmitri Potapov complemented Gee’s beautiful features and perfect skin with natural, glam looks. The editorial was photographed at Blonde Studios, NYC. It is a gorgeous space and fully equipped with Profoto lighting and all the necessary grip gear. Beauty Fashion Editorial Featuring Model Anna Van Patten

I just had a beauty editorial and cover published in Lucire Magazine.  The shoot was hair and skin inspired featuring our gorgeous model Anna Van Patten of Women 360 Management, NYC.  We photographed the editorial in one day at Blonde + Co Studio, New York. Hair stylist Cassie Carey and makeup artist Dmitri Potapov created beautiful looks. Special thanks to Dylan Reese for postproduction!

Love this fashion editorial and magazine cover I photographed for Veneno Magazine.  Fashion stylist and designer Claudio Cina worked with muse Cami Opp, a model with Wilhelmina NYC.  I have worked with Cami numerous times for commercial, editorial, and commercial projects.  Beauty, hair and makeup was provided by the uber talented and fun Andrea Wilson of Next Artist Management NYC.

New York Fashion Week Model Agency Show Package

This season I had the pleasure and honor of photographing the NYFW show package for SKorpion Management.

The shoot took place over 4 days at my NYC studio.  Agency director Shameer Khan was on hand helping with fashion styling and creative direction.

Makeup artist Christina Lancaster and hair stylist Phrenchie were on point with the beauty.

The models were photographed against the same grey painted canvas backdrop.  We shot one close up headshot/beauty look and a second full body look.  For the guys we asked them to bring in a prop that  best expressed and interest, their personality or their background.  They brought sporting gear like a basketball, football, skateboard, lacrosse stick, boxing gloves but also books, musical instruments, and an African mask.  With the girls we did not use props.  Just showing off their beauty.

We had a great time shooting 30 plus models. The images we created were really well received by casting directors helping book the men and women in many top shows.

Beauty Photoshoot with Myriem

Last month created a beauty photo shoot with Myriem, a gorgeous Tunisian model represented by Ford Models, New York.  We decided to use flowers to enhance the shoot and create a story, forgoing jewelry, fashion or accessories. Makeup artist Jonet Williamson created strong, clean looks and hair stylist Tamara Laureus created a soft, elegent flow.  The shoot was held at my studio in West Chelsea, close to the Highline Park, NYC.

Beauty Photography in Wilhemina Model Portfolio

The ultimate compliment on my photography is when a major agency uses my images on their website for a model’s portfolio.  This states that my work captures some essence of the model that will sell them to their clients.

Lula Kenfe is as stunning model from Wilhelmina New York who I have had the pleasure of shooting beauty with.  Angela Ivana from Agency Gerard did the hair and makeup.  We are quite pleased with the results, apparently the agency is as well!

Blow Up!

Love seeing my work printed big!

Hosting and entertaining dear friends from Paris is an excellent excuse to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art and visit some old friends The Temple of Dendur and  Frank Lloyd Wright’s Living Room From the Litle House as well as make new friends George Caleb Bingham and the exquisite fashion collection China Through The Looking Glass (a must see!).

After getting kicked out of the museum at 5:05 we strolled down Fifth Ave, crossed over on 72 St to Lexington to visit the store of my client fashion designer Lee Anderson.  I will be shooting for her next week and just received an email from her assistant.  I figured I would answer it in person and introduce my French friends to some other wonderful people in my life.

We caught up on recent travel experiences, was educated on the current state of life in Greece, discussed the shoot, and admired her collection.  I had Lee’s talented daughter Kyra snap a photo of me in front of an image I shot last season that was printed as a poster.  Of course I had to show up model Sanita Andersone (Q New York) and out pose her!

Beauty Editorial

Here are some behind the scenes photos from a beauty editorial I shot Sunday for Fashion Reverie Magazine.

The theme was a nail slumber party.  The editor was looking to shoot in a hotel room.  Thinking that the location would not look authentic enough, I offered my guest bedroom.  Shooting in my house is always a mixed bag… I like not having to travel to a location but having your home turned upside down for a day can be a drag.  Thankfully the shoot was low impact, the team was great, and we are all very excited about the images we created.  Love to Tiri (Q Models), Violetta (Q Models) and Madison Massey (Major Model Management) as well as T.Cooper – hair and makeup, and  Angi Wingle  of CND (nails).
