Late August headed east with a crew to shoot the fall winter campaign for client Lee Anderson Couture. The location was her beautiful summer home. We had an amazing time making these fun images. Our model, the beautiful Hartje Andresen from Trump Models brought the collection and images to life. Hair and makeup by the talented Vanessa Weiss.

My family and I live in Brooklyn, NY. We are fortunate enough to have a home with a little extra room which we have put to good use by hosting foreign exchange students for a school year. Our past students have been from Verona Italy, Frankfurt Germany, San Juan Argentina, Paris France and La Serra Italy. This year we will be hosting our sixth student, Kotoko from Osaka, Japan.
We were not planning on hosting this year, however I am a volunteer with AFS, the organization who sponsors the students. Three weeks ago I received an email from AFS stating that they still needed homes for 300 students. If these students did not receive placement they are in jeopardy of not being able to start their exchange year. I mentioned this to my son who immediately suggested we should host again. You don’t have to ask me twice, i love hosting students. We presented the idea to my wife, and with a bit of cajoling she was on board as well.
We were then presented with a handful of potential students and quickly selected Kotoko. We have never hosted a student from Asia, my son studied Japanese for a year, and she had a lovely application.
These kids are extremely brave. They come to a new country, enter into a new culture, live with a family they never met, attend a school which teaches in a new language, etc. The challenges are daunting. It is amazing to see how quickly they successfully learn the language, establish family, cultural, community ties, develop friendships and build a robust life!
Kotoko has been quiet but she is absorbing the culture and language. She watches movies on Netflix with subtitles. Pauses the movie and notes vocabulary she does not understand. I assure her that by Halloween she will be fully conversational. I look forward to hearing all she has to say!

Very excited that my client Lee Anderson has posted the images we shot for her Fall 2015 collection. We shot the job at her beautiful home in West Hampton. We had an incredible day. Hartje Andresen from Trump Model Mangement, NYC looked stunning in Lee’s designs. Vanessa Weiss did a fab job with hair and makeup.
This afternoon I will be on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. I am going to pop by her store on Lexington Avenue store and see if she has printed a poster yet. I love seeing my photography printed BIG!!!
When not shooting fashion advertising, editorial, catalogs or lookbooks I love to produce photo shoots for Flashes of Hope acting as the New York Chapter Director.
Flashes of Hope is a volunteer driven organization that brings commercial photographers into pediatric cancer treatment centers in order to photograph the patients and their families. We also bring in hair and makeup artists to make the subjects look extra beautiful, the photos more polished, and make the subjects feel really good.
No, we are not curing cancer, but when a mom tells you “It is so nice to see my daughter smile, it does not happen that often.” you know we are doing something really important. This shoot took place at Cohen Children’s Medical Center on Long Island.

Still in the dog days of August 2015 and just finished shooting the Spring/Summer 2016 catalog for fashion client J’envie.
I have been photographing their RTW collection every season for over 6 years. It is wonderful that I get to work with the same team each season.
Barbara Duerrer from Wilhelmina New York is our beautiful model. Barbara cannot take a bad picture (a fact she has denied, but I have not seen any evidence to the contrary). She has a wonderful feel for the collection and knows how to bring the best out of every garment. Besides talent and beauty, she is interesting, intelligent, sweet with a quick sense of humor which makes the day fly by!
Makeup artist and hair stylist Roni Mears is multi talented. Not only does she do an amazing job glamming up Barbara, she is also represented by Wilhelmina as a fashion model. Roni is a sweet, gentle person who appreciates my dark sense of humor.
This season the client brought in a new designer Judy Yi. Judy jumped in without missing a step. The shoot was well organized and the clothing impeccably styled.

My image shot for client Member’s Only (iconic outerwear and fashion forward brand) announces a sale. Models are Carly Jade and Matthew Vande Vegte, both from Major Model Management NYC.
I am very excited to be shooting for them next Monday and Tuesday. Primarily a studio, but some location as well. I will post some behind the scenes shots.

Yesterday had an amazing time shooting for client Lee Anderson Couture. Lee is an amazing designer who sells solely out of her Lexington Avenue, NYC store. She has a loyal clientele who appreciate her beautiful, unique designs, luxurious fabric, custom fit, and high end tailoring.
Typically we shoot in my Manhattan studio. This season we mixed it up by driving out to her West Hampton home and shooting inside the house and outside on her property.
Our model was the stunning Hartje Andresen of Trump Model Management. Vanessa Weiss did hair and makeup.
Can’t wait to share the images from the shoot. In the meantime here are some behind the scenes. Loved using the Fiat 500 by Gucci as a prop!
