Recently shot a beauty test with makeup artist Wendi Miyake and hair stylist Kota. We had a great time working with the beautiful Aussie fashion model Stacey Louise Grant from Women 360, New York. We shot 3 looks with her and I am very pleased with the results!
Last week I had the pleasure of shooting an advertising campaign for jewelry designer Rush by Denis and Charles.
I worked with the amazing stylist Rod Novoa and makeup/hair Virna Smiraldi. The model was the beautiful Courtney Eriksson from Q Models NYC.
The team was a blast to work with. Super talented, fun, no drama. Courtney is incredible. She cannot take a bad photo and her smile is infectious!

I was asked by Fusion NYC to shoot some clean beauty for two of their new faces, Izzy and Hazel. I asked the talented makeup artist and hair stylist Veronika Robova to help out.
We shot in my Brooklyn home in the guest bedroom.

Over the weekend I shot a fashion editorial for Today’s Black Woman magazine. My dear friend Ionia Dunn Lee Cisse styled the models, Aeriel D’Andrea did makeup, and Tiffany Coates provided hair styling.
I can’t share the fashion images until after the photos publish in the August/September 2015 issue. However I had our girl from Red NYC stand by the window in her own clothes and shot a few images. Looking forward to sharing the editorial in a few months!

Late last year I worked with Veronica Montano from Major Model Management, New York (winner of Top Model Latina). After shooting the catalog she put on a few looks and we shot natural light in front of a studio window in order to make some image shots. The client was quite happy… and so was the agency. The photo is the lead image on her online portfolio and on the front of her comp card! Hair and makeup by the talented Veronika Robova.
This year began on a very sad note. I lost my friend and gifted hair stylist Karen Bishop. Every time Karen walked into the studio the room would brighten up. I would play soul from the 70’s and the day flew by. Karen had a talent to bring out the inner beauty of everyone she encountered. She will be greatly missed by many people. Below are two images from the last shoot we did together with Jackie Sanchez (makeup). Models are Meron Mamo (Red NYC) and Dieynaba Diop (Adam Models).

Model Elena Kantaria from Women Management New York is stunning! Shot in my NYC studio Elena is styled by Ursula Agurto, hair by Mako Iijima of Cocoro Salon, NYC, makeup by Chris Aria (visiting from Sydney), and manicurist Arielle Vilmont.

Here are some behind the scenes photos from a beauty editorial I shot Sunday for Fashion Reverie Magazine.
The theme was a nail slumber party. The editor was looking to shoot in a hotel room. Thinking that the location would not look authentic enough, I offered my guest bedroom. Shooting in my house is always a mixed bag… I like not having to travel to a location but having your home turned upside down for a day can be a drag. Thankfully the shoot was low impact, the team was great, and we are all very excited about the images we created. Love to Tiri (Q Models), Violetta (Q Models) and Madison Massey (Major Model Management) as well as T.Cooper – hair and makeup, and Angi Wingle of CND (nails).
